The Montour County Conservation District works with county residents to implement various projects with the goal of reducing nutrients in local streams and waterways and reducing erosion.

                  In 2020, the Montour County Conservation District and U.S. Fish and Wildlife worked with landowner Rich Heintzleman to install a wetland on his property in Anthony Township. This wetland featured 5 cells and vegetation to draw in animals.

                  In 2015, the Montour County Conservation District, alongside U.S. Fish and Wildlife, installed a wetland on Marlin Tanner's property in Liberty Township. The wetland features one cell.

                  In 2012 the Montour Conservation District and U.S. Fish and Wildlife installed a wetland on Patricia Fry's property in Anthony Township. The wetland spans 7 acres and features 1 cell.
